A Rose With A View

He looked out of the window and watched her at the bottom of the gardens that sloped away from the base of the manor. She was wearing a dark red dress, the deep colour of a rose, with a white lace collar. She was leading her child around the pond. He could see the bottom of her dress blow in the gentle breeze that blew close to the ground. Through the opaque screen, he saw her look back up to the house and wave at him.
